Ciarán McTom scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ardán McPhil, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Rorke McBjarton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Becan McOliver charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Becan McOliver the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Geevagh booed when Culleenduff AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Becan McOliver didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Culleenduff AFC's Rorke McBjarton slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Teigue Crowe. That made the score 2-1 after 21 minutes of play. Culleenduff AFC's attentive Donan Gallagher managed to snatch the ball when Ciarán McTom made a throw-in in the 27th minute of the game. Teigue Crowe made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Becan McOliver sent off a good shot on target. In the 33rd minute, Bel Harkin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ciarán McTom struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Ardán McPhil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Geevagh. If Babe Duggan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Babe Duggan made the kick off in the second half. Barock McGlynn kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 59th minute of the match Begg Gillmour sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teigue Crowe skillfully saved the ball. Teigue Crowe came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Culleenduff AFC's Becan McOliver. But to his dismay, Becan McOliver quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Rorke McBjarton struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Teigue Crowe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Culleenduff AFC. Teigue Crowe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Becan McOliver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 76 minutes, Barock McGlynn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Geevagh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barock McGlynn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teigue Crowe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Becan McOliver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Babe Duggan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ardán McPhil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Culleenduff AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Geevagh for a fine match.
