The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pauric Gough fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stéphane Lozano having to interfere. Aodh McCollion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute, Teris Dempsey left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tyrrelstown FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Kealan McPhil sped through Finuge Utd's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bran Caffrey. In the 18th match minute, Finuge Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doney Martyn to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kealan McPhil in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bran Caffrey saved Finuge Utd from getting behind. A collision led to Finuge Utd getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Bray Branson hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teris Dempsey in the 24th minute of play forced Finuge Utd's goalkeeper Bran Caffrey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 29 minutes of play, Tyrrelstown FC's Teris Dempsey made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bran Caffrey was left in no man's land by his defense there! 33 minutes into the match, Finuge Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Kealan McPhil came free, but Bran Caffrey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bran Caffrey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teris Dempsey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bran Caffrey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theobald McJames in the 37th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teris Dempsey in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bran Caffrey saved Finuge Utd from getting behind.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pauric Gough to make the kick off. Stéphane Lozano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pauric Gough in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute of the match Finuge Utd got a corner. Tyrrelstown FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Baine Dimson ran over to the corner to take the kick. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tyrrelstown FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Baine Dimson was slow to take the kick. During this time Finuge Utd's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Finuge Utd's corner Baine Dimson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Stéphane Lozano quite easily take care of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teris Dempsey got free with Bran Caffrey in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Finuge Utd's Bran Caffrey got control of the ball when Aodh McCollion tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 65 played minutes Finuge Utd got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Scully. Tyrrelstown FC's Kealan McPhil couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 65th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Finuge Utd. Tyrrelstown FC's Rigan Crowe was substituted for Teris Dempsey. Rigan Crowe's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 73rdth minute, Bran Caffrey skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 75 minutes into the match, Finuge Utd's goalkeeper Bran Caffrey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rigan Crowe. When Bray Branson fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Finuge Utd's protests and gave Bray Branson a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Finuge Utd's Bray Branson got a free kick in the 75th minute. Bran Caffrey was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kealan McPhil showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 77 minute of play. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by Finuge Utd's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kealan McPhil was slow to take the kick. During this time Tyrrelstown FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Rigan Crowe got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-7. 84 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute of the match, Rigan Crowe got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bran Caffrey was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Alexander Scully's late challenge caught a Tyrrelstown FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexander Scully helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Finuge Utd getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Alexander Scully hit a great ball. Tyrrelstown FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
