Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Torna Todd took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 2 played minutes Kilkea Utd got a freekick which was hit by Binnech Keegan. Gearalt McAlphie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torna Todd in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Binnech Keegan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel McWill was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Killanigan's Beartlai McNamara got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Killanigan booed when Kilkea Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harrigan Hunt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute of the match Brett McGlynn shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gearalt McAlphie showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 30th minute, Danann Caffrey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute Bracken Mulvihill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel McWill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brett McGlynn hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute of the match, Beartlai McNamara got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gearalt McAlphie was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 43 played minutes Kilkea Utd got a freekick which was hit by Binnech Keegan. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bracken Mulvihill made a kick off. When Beartlai McNamara came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Killanigan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beartlai McNamara couldn't finish the play. In the 66th minute Tevin McJohn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gearalt McAlphie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beartlai McNamara struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Gearalt McAlphie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Killanigan. In the 71st minute, Binnech Keegan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel McWill was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The supporters of Kilkea Utd booed when Killanigan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beartlai McNamara didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute of the match Kevis Mullan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daniel McWill showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
