John McFrancise didn't get a good kick on the ball. 4 minutes into the match, Illanbaun Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Darragh Coyle came free, but Pat Harkin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Heron Sheridan got a throw-in 7 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Darragh Coyle. In the 8th minute Torrey McVictor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pat Harkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute Illanbaun Utd were awarded a corner. Dane Doyle went to the cornerflag to take it. Illanbaun Utd's Dane Doyle was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Farrell McFrancise in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 17th minute Blathma McFrank shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pat Harkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 18 played minutes Illanbaun Utd got a freekick which was hit by Brenna McNamara. After 20 minutes of play, Rangers's Darragh Coyle made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pat Harkin was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 25th minute, Blathma McFrank got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dane Doyle hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Heron Sheridan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pat Harkin. Illanbaun Utd's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rangers's Farrell McFrancise proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Rangers from getting a goal against them. Illanbaun Utd's Cleary Mulvihill got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Illanbaun Utd getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Brenna McNamara hit a great ball. Pat Harkin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torrey McVictor, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Cleary Mulvihill managed to get in a good position for a shot. Illanbaun Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Cleary Mulvihill was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Farrell McFrancise breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pat Harkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desmond McFrancise, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cleary Mulvihill struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Farrell McFrancise didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Illanbaun Utd. 77 minutes into the match, Rangers's goal looked a bit too open when Douglas McPeter came free, but Farrell McFrancise reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute, Desmond McFrancise hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes into the match, Illanbaun Utd's goalkeeper Pat Harkin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Darragh Coyle. Farrell McFrancise showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cleary Mulvihill in the 90th minute of the match. The Illanbaun Utd fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Rangers were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
