He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Coolumber reached it. After some careless play in the Coolumber defense, Begley McNamara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gearóid McJon. The Coolumber fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gearóid McJon should have stopped the shot. When Bow McGlenn fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Illanbaun Utd's protests and gave Bow McGlenn a yellow card for diving instead. Bow McGlenn kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Brakawn Gough's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Pat Harkin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Begley McNamara charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Begley McNamara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 27th minute, Begley McNamara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the match, Coolumber's goal looked a bit too open when Cleary Mulvihill came free, but Gearóid McJon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Illanbaun Utd's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Breccan Dempsey scored to the left of an out of position Pat Harkin, making the score, 1-1. In the 40th minute, Coolumber's Breccan Dempsey dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. 46 minutes into the match, Brakawn Gough had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pat Harkin. Illanbaun Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brakawn Gough was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 59th match minute, Coolumber was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berrigan Colwell to maneuver through the defense. Pat Harkin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brakawn Gough in the 64th minute of the match. Cleary Mulvihill struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Gearóid McJon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Illanbaun Utd. Coolumber's Gearóid McJon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Coolumber from getting a goal against them. In the 78th minute, Breccan Dempsey made a precise shot to the right of Pat Harkin. Illanbaun Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Cleary Mulvihill showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-2. The audience was convinced that Brakawn Gough's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pat Harkin was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Illanbaun Utd were furious when Oliver Costello was red carded, 91 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 90th minute of the game. One of Illanbaun Utd:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Coolumber:s goal.
