Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bradigan McJohn got the match started through his kick off. After 5 minutes, Brendan McSteve mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ranaghy and the Lavey players grew even worse after the yellow card. 9 minutes into the match, Bradigan McJohn dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tiarnan McLiam, 1-0. After 17 minutes, Rowley Harkin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lavey and the Ranaghy players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rowley Harkin hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Lavey's Bree Deery got a free kick in the 19th minute. Bradigan McJohn who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Tiarnan McLiam when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Ranaghy getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Louis McTom hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lavey's zone, Bradigan McJohn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiarnan McLiam came out of the goal and Bradigan McJohn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the game, Becan McSteven cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Iarla Colwell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Lavey getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Artt McStephen hit a great ball. Bradigan McJohn struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Tiarnan McLiam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ranaghy. Tiarnan McLiam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Payton McSteve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Becan McSteven to make the kick off. Tiarnan McLiam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bradigan McJohn, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After having played for 62 minutes, Bradigan McJohn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ranaghy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bradigan McJohn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Lavey's Becan McSteven sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iarla Colwell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 69th minute Bradigan McJohn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiarnan McLiam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, Ranaghy's Bradigan McJohn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tiarnan McLiam made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. In the 81st minute, Rowley Harkin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Iarla Colwell. The goal made the score 3-2. In the 84th minute Rorry Moran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiarnan McLiam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiarnan McLiam didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rorry Moran went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of Lavey booed when Ranaghy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bradigan McJohn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rorry Moran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee ended the match the Ranaghy players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
