Tiarnan McLiam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brakawn Gough, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the match, Breccan Dempsey notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Lavey's Tiarnan McLiam. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Breccan Dempsey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Breasal Taylor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Tiarnan McLiam made a huge save. Coolumber's Gearóid McJon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Becan McSteven in the 58th minute of play.
