Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dolan McBjarton kicked off to start the match. When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Curran Cassin took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Thom Mullan to make any attempt to save it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerald Moran during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Coolroe getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Tory Scully hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dolan McBjarton in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brannon Sheridan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Coolroe's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Salmon Walker in the 26th minute. The supporters of Moyvane FC booed when Coolroe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justin Matthews didn't get a good kick on the ball. 33 minutes into the game, Beary Dempsey threw the ball into play from the sideline. Moyvane FC's Heron McBjarton quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Dolan McBjarton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Brannon Sheridan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thom Mullan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salmon Walker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Coolroe's Justin Matthews ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Thom Mullan. Thom Mullan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 47th match minute, Moyvane FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Comhghall Ryan to maneuver through the defense. Moyvane FC's Thom Mullan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salmon Walker in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Barram Tracy in the 61st minute of play forced Coolroe's goalkeeper Brannon Sheridan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 62 minutes, Salmon Walker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coolroe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salmon Walker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Coolroe getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Caolán Gough hit a great ball. With a little luck, Coolroe's Brannon Sheridan got control of the ball when Dolan McBjarton tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Justin Matthews fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coolroe's protests and gave Justin Matthews a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Moyvane FC booed when Coolroe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justin Matthews didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dolan McBjarton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Coolroe's goal looked a bit too open when Barram Tracy came free, but Brannon Sheridan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moyvane FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Coolroe had won, even though Moyvane FC had held more of the ball.
