The audience thought a goal was coming when Brakawn Gough got free with Sheridan Beckett in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 10th minute, Blathmac Keegan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Foxhill fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Scot McBjarton's late challenge caught a Foxhill's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Scot McBjarton helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th match minute, Coolumber was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Scot McBjarton to maneuver through the defense. Gearóid McJon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danann Savic, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 22 minutes into the game, when Berrigan Colwell put in a rough tackle. In the 24th minute, Foxhill's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Brakawn Gough fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Brakawn Gough could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Sheridan Beckett made a huge save. Coolumber's Gearóid McJon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danann Savic in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Blathmac Keegan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Coolumber getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Breccan Dempsey hit a great ball. Foxhill's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Blathmac Keegan in the 68th minute. Foxhill's Blathmac Keegan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gearóid McJon in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Danann Savic came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Foxhill fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danann Savic couldn't finish the play. Gearóid McJon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blathmac Keegan in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 78th minute of the match, Blathmac Keegan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gearóid McJon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 81 minutes, Brakawn Gough managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coolumber's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brakawn Gough was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Blathmac Keegan hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Foxhill's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
