After 6 minutes, Heron Sheridan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rangers and the Coolroe players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th minute, Heron Sheridan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the match, Coolroe's goalkeeper Brannon Sheridan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Darragh Coyle. Brannon Sheridan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Darragh Coyle in the 13th minute. Darragh Coyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brannon Sheridan having to interfere. In the 20th minute of the game Heron Sheridan made a throw-in which Darragh Coyle played forward. Brannon Sheridan was a little too slow when Blathma McFrank got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-0. Darragh Coyle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute, Brann McLiam reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Brannon Sheridan. The goal made the score 2-0. Torrey McVictor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Brannon Sheridan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cáirbre Coyle in the 37th minute of play forced Rangers's goalkeeper Farrell McFrancise to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Curran Cassin was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Coolroe's goal looked a bit too open when Desmond McFrancise came free, but Brannon Sheridan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 55 minutes into the game, Darragh Coyle cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Brannon Sheridan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Coolroe booed when Rangers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blathma McFrank didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Darragh Coyle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Brannon Sheridan. Coolroe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Darragh Coyle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Brannon Sheridan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Torrey McVictor's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. After a rather tough play, Coolroe's Cáirbre Coyle got a free kick in the 84th minute. Brannon Sheridan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darragh Coyle, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Brannon Sheridan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desmond McFrancise in the 86th minute of play. Desmond McFrancise struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Brannon Sheridan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rangers. Rangers's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
