Bradigan McJohn started the match with the kick off. Bar McGlenn made in the 5th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Ranaghy's Fionntán McGlynn. Ranaghy were furious when Alfred McJon was red carded, 7 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ranaghy fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 6th minute. Penalty! Ranaghy:s Iarla Colwell showed great skill when he stopped Burke McAlphie:s penalty. 16 minutes into the game, Payton McSteve was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ranaghy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kilsob AFC the free kick. In the 20th minute Batt Palmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iarla Colwell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 23 minutes, Burke McAlphie mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kilsob AFC and the Ranaghy players grew even worse after the yellow card. 29 minutes into the match, Ranaghy's goal looked a bit too open when Batt Palmer came free, but Iarla Colwell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Ranaghy getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Payton McSteve hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the match, Kilsob AFC's goalkeeper Boyle McJames had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bradigan McJohn. Ranaghy's Iarla Colwell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Burke McAlphie in the 46th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Batt Palmer got free with Iarla Colwell in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 54 minutes, Bradigan McJohn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ranaghy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bradigan McJohn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kilsob AFC's Boyle McJames played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bradigan McJohn in the 57th minute of play. A collision led to Ranaghy getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Bradigan McJohn hit a great ball. Boyle McJames showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bradigan McJohn, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Batt Palmer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Iarla Colwell made a huge save. 73 minutes into the game, Rorry Moran was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ranaghy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kilsob AFC the free kick. In the 74th minute, Rorry Moran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradigan McJohn in the 84th minute of play forced Kilsob AFC's goalkeeper Boyle McJames to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brite McJon kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. After having played for 89 minutes, Bradigan McJohn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ranaghy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bradigan McJohn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Kilsob AFC's Batt Palmer ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Iarla Colwell. Iarla Colwell yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Kilsob AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
