Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bradner McTommy got the match started through his kick off. Bradigan McJohn struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Caolán Dempsey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ranaghy. After 7 minutes, Rowley Prunty mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Reenroe and the Ranaghy players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 8 played minutes Reenroe got a freekick which was hit by Rowley Prunty. Bradigan McJohn took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Caolán Dempsey. Caolán Dempsey dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ranaghy's Bradigan McJohn got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Fergal Kirby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the game, Shiel Delaney was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ranaghy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Reenroe the free kick. Shiel Delaney hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Rowen Hughes kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Bradigan McJohn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bradner McTommy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Iarla Colwell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Reenroe's Bragan Perth got a free kick in the 34th minute. Bellaghy McBrand's late challenge caught a Reenroe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bellaghy McBrand helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ranaghy's Bellaghy McBrand got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Iarla Colwell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradner McTommy in the 43rd minute of the match. Rorry Moran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caolán Dempsey having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bradigan McJohn made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brendann Bayes in the 53rd minute of play forced Ranaghy's goalkeeper Iarla Colwell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 57 played minutes Ranaghy got a freekick which was hit by Alfred McJon. After 59 played minutes, Reenroe's Breslin Dunne shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Iarla Colwell came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Reenroe reached it. Iarla Colwell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rowley Prunty in the 63rd minute of play. Ranaghy's Iarla Colwell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bradner McTommy in the 68th minute of play. After 72 played minutes Reenroe got a freekick which was hit by Rowen Hughes. 74 minutes into the game, Alfred McJon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ranaghy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Reenroe the free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bragan Perth in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iarla Colwell saved Ranaghy from getting behind. The Reenroe fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Reenroe's Bragan Perth looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Iarla Colwell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bragan Perth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Reenroe's Bragan Perth got a free kick in the 95th minute. Ranaghy succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Reenroe had controlled the match.
