Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Donncha McCollion made the kick off which started today's match. Comhghall Quinnless showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Curran Cassin, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Cornamona's Comhghall Quinnless played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Curran Cassin in the 19th minute of play. In the 26th minute Salmon Walker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comhghall Quinnless saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Keelin McPeter kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Cullan McAlphie struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Brannon Sheridan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cornamona. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Curran Cassin in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Comhghall Quinnless saved Cornamona from getting behind. The Coolroe fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Coolroe's Curran Cassin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Cullan McAlphie came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Cornamona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cullan McAlphie couldn't finish the play. Salmon Walker scored 1-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Comhghall Quinnless, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

In the 55th minute, Curran Cassin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Comhghall Quinnless was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Cornamona's Cullan McAlphie suffered a concussion after 59 minutes and had to leave the field. Raymond McJohn charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raymond McJohn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cornamona's Beale McJames was substituted for Cullan McAlphie. In the 61st minute, Raymond McJohn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Salmon Walker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Comhghall Quinnless managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Coolroe's Curran Cassin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Cornamona's Comhghall Quinnless got control of the ball when Curran Cassin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Donncha McCollion blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brannon Sheridan having to make a save. In the 72nd minute Salmon Walker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comhghall Quinnless saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rooney Lavine's late challenge caught a Coolroe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rooney Lavine helped the player get up and apologised. When Justin Matthews fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coolroe's protests and gave Justin Matthews a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cornamona booed when Coolroe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justin Matthews didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Cornamona getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Beale McJames hit a great ball. 83 minutes into the game, Curran Cassin lined in a short shot 1-4 behind a frustrated Comhghall Quinnless. Brannon Sheridan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donncha McCollion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Salmon Walker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salmon Walker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Comhghall Quinnless having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Curran Cassin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Comhghall Quinnless. Cornamona's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Curran Cassin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. Coolroe played a much better game than Cornamona and deserved their victory. The Cornamona players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
