Gearóid McJon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shiel Delaney, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Coolumber's Gearóid McJon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bradigan McJohn in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th match minute, Coolumber was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harrigan Dimson to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Coolumber's Berrigan Colwell got a free kick in the 10th minute. When Harrigan Dimson fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coolumber's protests and gave Harrigan Dimson a yellow card for diving instead. Iarla Colwell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brakawn Gough, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute, Bellaghy McBrand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breccan Dempsey in the 25th minute of play forced Ranaghy's goalkeeper Iarla Colwell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ranaghy's Iarla Colwell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breccan Dempsey in the 30th minute of play. In the 34th minute, Bradigan McJohn reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gearóid McJon. The goal made the score 1-0. Bradigan McJohn struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Gearóid McJon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ranaghy. In the 41st play minute Shiel Delaney came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gearóid McJon. 2-0. Ranaghy's Iarla Colwell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breccan Dempsey in the 45th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Breccan Dempsey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Brakawn Gough could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Iarla Colwell made a huge save. A hard shot 54 in the game by Brakawn Gough from a close distance when the talented Iarla Colwell managed to make a qualified save. Ranaghy's players were relieved. Coolumber's Gearóid McJon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bradigan McJohn in the 59th minute of play. Harrigan Dimson got a throw-in 64 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Brakawn Gough. After 65 played minutes Ranaghy got a freekick which was hit by Bellaghy McBrand. Payton McSteve's late challenge caught a Coolumber's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Payton McSteve helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ranaghy getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Payton McSteve hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breccan Dempsey in the 85th minute of play forced Ranaghy's goalkeeper Iarla Colwell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shiel Delaney hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. 90 minutes into the game, Bradigan McJohn cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Gearóid McJon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 95th match minute, Ranaghy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shiel Delaney to maneuver through the defense.
