Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Blathmac Keegan took the kick off in the first half of the match. Danann Savic's late challenge caught a Lavey's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danann Savic helped the player get up and apologised. After 2 played minutes Foxhill got a freekick which was hit by Danann Savic. Sheridan Beckett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Becan McSteven, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 9th minute Becan McSteven shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sheridan Beckett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Becan McSteven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rorry McDecland hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Tiarnan McLiam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blathmac Keegan in the 14th minute of the match. In the 16th match minute, Foxhill was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blathmac Keegan to maneuver through the defense. Foxhill's attentive Bairrionn Benson managed to snatch the ball when Bree Deery made a throw-in in the 20th minute of the game. Tiarnan McLiam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blathmac Keegan in the 27th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Foxhill's goal looked a bit too open when Rowley Harkin came free, but Sheridan Beckett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Foxhill's Pembroke McLaughlin got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Danann Savic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blathmac Keegan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tiarnan McLiam came out and tried to block the shot, but Blathmac Keegan slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rowley Harkin in the 42nd minute of play forced Foxhill's goalkeeper Sheridan Beckett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Becan McSteven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Artt McStephen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiarnan McLiam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blathmac Keegan in the 48th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Becan McSteven stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sheridan Beckett didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rowley Harkin went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 58 minutes into the match, Danann Savic notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Lavey's Tiarnan McLiam. Tiarnan McLiam was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 65th minute, Blathmac Keegan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Becan McSteven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sheridan Beckett having to interfere. Rowley Harkin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Sheridan Beckett made a huge save. If Becan McSteven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Foxhill's zone, Becan McSteven stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sheridan Beckett came out of the goal and Becan McSteven tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Becan McSteven came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Lavey fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Becan McSteven couldn't finish the play. Rowley Harkin charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rowley Harkin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Foxhill booed when Lavey was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rowley Harkin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiarnan McLiam came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Foxhill's Blathmac Keegan. But to his dismay, Blathmac Keegan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1.
