Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) When Danann Savic came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Foxhill fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danann Savic couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, Foxhill's Comhghall Quinnless threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Blathmac Keegan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Beale McJames in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sheridan Beckett saved Foxhill from getting behind. 20 minutes into the match, Danann Savic had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Comhghall Quinnless. Cornamona's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Danann Savic was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Danann Savic could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Comhghall Quinnless made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Foxhill's zone, Beale McJames stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sheridan Beckett came out of the goal and Beale McJames tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Cornamona getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Baptist McLaughlin hit a great ball. In the 39th minute Blathmac Keegan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comhghall Quinnless saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 39 played minutes Foxhill got a freekick which was hit by Bairre Matthews. Beale McJames recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute Blathmac Keegan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comhghall Quinnless saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Beale McJames made the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the game, Killian Doherty was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Foxhill's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cornamona the free kick. Killian Doherty kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Beale McJames during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cornamona's Beale McJames got a free kick in the 58th minute. Baptist McLaughlin hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the game, Danann Savic cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Comhghall Quinnless was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cornamona's Beale McJames got his second yellow card of the match in the 71st minute. The referee ordered Beale McJames off the ground. Beale McJames hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Bebhinn Callaghan kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 83rd minute Danann Savic shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comhghall Quinnless saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cornamona's Baptist McLaughlin got his second yellow card of the match in the 84th minute. The referee ordered Baptist McLaughlin off the ground. In the 84th match minute, Cornamona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baptist McLaughlin to maneuver through the defense. Danann Savic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Comhghall Quinnless took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danann Savic, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Comhghall Quinnless made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blathmac Keegan in the 93rd minute of play. There was no doubt that Foxhill were the better team. Foxhill's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
