In the 7th minute, Brendon Scully ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Farrell McFrancise was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Thom Mullan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desmond McFrancise in the 11th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Blaine McCready during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 15 played minutes Rangers got a freekick which was hit by Blaine McCready. 17 minutes into the game, Baoithin Gough threw the ball into play from the sideline. Moyvane FC's Heron McBjarton quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 19th minute, Brendon Scully ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Farrell McFrancise was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 22 minutes into the match, Darragh Coyle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thom Mullan. Moyvane FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Darragh Coyle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Barram Tracy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Rangers's Brann McLiam got a free kick in the 29th minute. Brendon Scully recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Desmond McFrancise charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Desmond McFrancise the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Desmond McFrancise kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brann McLiam got free with Thom Mullan in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Barram Tracy sped through Rangers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Farrell McFrancise. Thom Mullan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darragh Coyle in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Moyvane FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

A collision led to Moyvane FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Barram Tracy hit a great ball. In the 53rd minute, Moyvane FC's Brendon Scully dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. The crowd rose to their feet as Moyvane FC's Heron McBjarton slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Farrell McFrancise. That made the score 1-5 after 57 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Moyvane FC's zone, Brann McLiam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thom Mullan came out of the goal and Brann McLiam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Farrell McFrancise showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barram Tracy in the 64th minute of the match. Moyvane FC made a substitution. Derin Mulvihill replaced Britain Ramsey. In the 66th minute, Darragh Coyle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Farrell McFrancise took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barram Tracy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thom Mullan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brann McLiam in the 68th minute of play. Moyvane FC's Heron McBjarton quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Baoithin Gough, made in the 73rd minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Barram Tracy kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Farrell McFrancise. That made the score 1-6 in the 76 minute of play. Moyvane FC's Thom Mullan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Desmond McFrancise in the 80th minute of play. Thom Mullan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Desmond McFrancise, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. When Brendon Scully fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Moyvane FC's protests and gave Brendon Scully a yellow card for diving instead.
