Rangers's Farrell McFrancise played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danann Savic in the 10th minute of play. Blathmac Keegan's late challenge caught a Rangers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Blathmac Keegan helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Foxhill's Blathmac Keegan got a free kick in the 11th minute. Foxhill's Sheridan Beckett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Foxhill from getting a goal against them. In the 15th minute, Danann Savic ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Farrell McFrancise was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. If Danann Savic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sheridan Beckett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torrey McVictor in the 27th minute of the match. Rangers's Torrey McVictor got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sheridan Beckett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Desmond McFrancise, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Heron Sheridan kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Blathmac Keegan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 40th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute Danann Savic shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Farrell McFrancise saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Danann Savic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Rangers's goal looked a bit too open when Danann Savic came free, but Farrell McFrancise reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Darragh Coyle to make the kick off. After 51 minutes, Rownun Todd mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Foxhill and the Rangers players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 50 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Foxhill! Heron Sheridan walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Danann Savic kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. The supporters of Foxhill booed when Rangers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baoithin Gough didn't get a good kick on the ball. With 61 minutes on the clock, Rownun Todd commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 60th minute, one of Foxhill:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Foxhill. The referee gave Rangers a penalty, 63 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Heron Sheridan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Foxhill's Sheridan Beckett. 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Danann Savic during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Foxhill's Danann Savic got a free kick in the 73rd minute. 84 minutes into the match, Foxhill's goal looked a bit too open when Torrey McVictor came free, but Sheridan Beckett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danann Savic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Farrell McFrancise tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darragh Coyle in the 91st minute of play forced Foxhill's goalkeeper Sheridan Beckett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 96 played minutes Rangers got a freekick which was hit by Baoithin Gough. Danann Savic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rangers's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
