Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bradigan McJohn started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Bradigan McJohn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Pat Harkin made a huge save. Cleary Mulvihill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Ranaghy's Bellaghy McBrand got a free kick in the 10th minute. Cleary Mulvihill took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iarla Colwell. Iarla Colwell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cleary Mulvihill in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iarla Colwell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Begley McNamara in the 18th minute of play forced Ranaghy's goalkeeper Iarla Colwell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ranaghy's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dane Doyle was slow to take the kick. During this time Illanbaun Utd's players had a chance to rest. 22 minutes into the game, Louis McTom was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ranaghy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Illanbaun Utd the free kick. The supporters of Illanbaun Utd booed when Ranaghy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Louis McTom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Payton McSteve charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Payton McSteve the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 38 played minutes Ranaghy got a freekick which was hit by Payton McSteve. In the 40th minute Cleary Mulvihill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iarla Colwell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iarla Colwell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cleary Mulvihill in the 45th minute of the match. When Bradigan McJohn came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Ranaghy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bradigan McJohn couldn't finish the play.
The wind increased when Cleary Mulvihill made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Ranaghy's Brendan McSteve got a free kick in the 53rd minute. A throw-in in the 55th minute of the game was made by Douglas McPeter with Cleary Mulvihill as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When Louis McTom was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 59 minutes had been played. In the 59th match minute, Ranaghy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louis McTom to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baird Prunty during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Illanbaun Utd booed when Ranaghy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baird Prunty didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Illanbaun Utd getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Dane Doyle hit a great ball. Bradigan McJohn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute there was a penalty for Illanbaun Utd. Dane Doyle stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Iarla Colwell. 0-2. A collision led to Illanbaun Utd getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Douglas McPeter hit a great ball. Brenna McNamara kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, Illanbaun Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Bradigan McJohn came free, but Pat Harkin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute Ranaghy were awarded a corner. Payton McSteve went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Payton McSteve almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Illanbaun Utd's Pat Harkin did a great save. In the 80th minute, Bradigan McJohn left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ranaghy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After 85 minutes, Douglas McPeter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Illanbaun Utd and the Ranaghy players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Illanbaun Utd getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Douglas McPeter hit a great ball. In the 90th minute Rorry Moran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pat Harkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 92 played minutes Illanbaun Utd got a freekick which was hit by Dane Doyle. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Rorry Moran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ranaghy's supporters rose to their feet, but Rorry Moran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pat Harkin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Illanbaun Utd's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
