In the 53rd minute, Donncha McCollion sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ranaghy's Iarla Colwell didn't even have to move. Cornamona's Comhghall Quinnless played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bradigan McJohn in the 86th minute of play. During the 91st minute of the match Payton McSteve completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Payton McSteve a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Cornamona booed when Ranaghy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Payton McSteve didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cullan McAlphie came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Cornamona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cullan McAlphie couldn't finish the play. Brendan McSteve kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
