Harley McPaul might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eoghan Murphy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Harley McPaul ran back to his position shaking his head. 15 minutes into the match, Harley McPaul notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Woodhouse's Eoghan Murphy. Eoghan Murphy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eoghan Murphy came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Strand's Tiarnan Taylor. But to his dismay, Tiarnan Taylor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Dane Deery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Woodhouse's zone, Dane Deery stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eoghan Murphy came out of the goal and Dane Deery tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eoghan Murphy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dane Deery, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dane Deery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Alexander Caffrey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Woodhouse's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexander Caffrey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boyne McSteven breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alexander Caffrey struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Boyne McSteven didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Woodhouse. Strand were furious when Donn Gillmour was red carded, 45 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Strand! The Woodhouse players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Strand were winning 1-2.

In the 53rd minute, Alexander Caffrey made a precise shot to the right of Boyne McSteven. Strand's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After having played for 59 minutes, Dane Deery managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Strand's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dane Deery was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cáirbre Brennan's late challenge caught a Strand's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cáirbre Brennan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th minute, Cáirbre Brennan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Strand defense, Alexander Caffrey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Boyne McSteven. The Strand fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Boyne McSteven should have stopped the shot. Artuir Walker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Boyne McSteven tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Strand's Bracken Gillmour pulled a muscle in his back after 72 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 72 minutes into the game, Finnigan Hunt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Woodhouse's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Strand the free kick. In the 73rd minute, Finnigan Hunt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Tiarnan Taylor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 79 played minutes Woodhouse got a freekick which was hit by Bartley Crowe. After a rather tough play, Woodhouse's Finnigan Hunt got a free kick in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Caffrey in the 84th minute of play forced Strand's goalkeeper Boyne McSteven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, Artuir Walker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Strand's Tiarnan Taylor got a free kick in the 96th minute. Artuir Walker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boyne McSteven having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Woodhouse fans cheered their team off the field, for while Strand had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
