Robin McAlphie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brion Quinnless in the 25th minute of play. Gearóid Willson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Robin McAlphie made a huge save. Robin McAlphie was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Brion Quinnless capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Brion Quinnless really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Robin McAlphie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brion Quinnless, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute Brion Quinnless shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin McAlphie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, Berrin McSteve hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 52nd match minute, Blackwater was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beachain Scully to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Blackwater's Bola McTom got a free kick in the 56th minute. Robin McAlphie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brion Quinnless in the 57th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, Glassillaun's Gearóid Willson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robin McAlphie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Britain Cassin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robin McAlphie was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 69thth minute of the game Brion Quinnless who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Blackwater's Robin McAlphie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Blackwater's goal looked a bit too open when Gearóid Willson came free, but Robin McAlphie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute Gearóid Willson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin McAlphie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bola McTom kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Blackwater's Robin McAlphie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gearóid Willson in the 96th minute of play. Glassillaun's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
