Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ravan Savic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robustiano Tino in the 5th minute of play. Ravan Savic didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robustiano Tino went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Bragan Ferguson made in the 14th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Boru McStephen. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Brefni Benson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shamrock Rovers's supporters rose to their feet, but Brefni Benson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ravan Savic breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Shamrock Rovers getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Brandan Crowe hit a great ball. Ravan Savic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robustiano Tino, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robustiano Tino in the 27th minute of play forced Kilbeggan's goalkeeper Ravan Savic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 29 minutes, Bracken Perth mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kilbeggan and the Shamrock Rovers players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th minute, Bracken Perth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The excitement rose when Shamrock Rovers's Boyne Gallagher after 30 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Kilbeggan's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 0-2. Javier Fe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Beothach McIan in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ravan Savic saved Kilbeggan from getting behind. Brefni Benson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bracken Perth kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Robustiano Tino scored 0-3 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ravan Savic, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ravan Savic didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robustiano Tino went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. After the first half Shamrock Rovers were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Boru McStephen to strike the kick off in the second half. Boru McStephen took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Charly Meulemans. Charly Meulemans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Ravan Savic came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Shamrock Rovers's Robustiano Tino. But to his dismay, Robustiano Tino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. After having played for 60 minutes, Robustiano Tino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shamrock Rovers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robustiano Tino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Charly Meulemans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Branagain McWillie in the 64th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Kilbeggan's Harkin Rutherford got a free kick in the 65th minute. Ravan Savic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robustiano Tino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 76 played minutes Robustiano Tino rounded Kilbeggan's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-6. In the 79th minute, Shamrock Rovers's Robustiano Tino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-7. The Shamrock Rovers fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Shamrock Rovers's Robustiano Tino looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-8 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd rose to their feet as Robustiano Tino kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ravan Savic. That made the score 1-9 in the 90 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robustiano Tino in the 94th minute of play forced Kilbeggan's goalkeeper Ravan Savic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shamrock Rovers's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
