When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Beacan Caffrey sped through Strand's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Boyne McSteven. Lawrence McGlenn hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Harley McPaul notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Tullykinroe's Beairtle Glen Crowe. Beairtle Glen Crowe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Beairtle Glen Crowe was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Beacan Caffrey in the 44th minute of play forced Strand's goalkeeper Boyne McSteven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Breslin McNamara got free with Boyne McSteven in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Beairtle Glen Crowe made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Dane Deery sent off a good shot on target. Tullykinroe's Beairtle Glen Crowe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harley McPaul in the 92nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harley McPaul in the 93rd minute of play forced Tullykinroe's goalkeeper Beairtle Glen Crowe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Tullykinroe had won after a very even match.
