Spectators: 7571 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1971, VIP seats: 100) Boru McStephen started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute, Brion Quinnless reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ravan Savic. The goal made the score 1-0. After 8 minutes of play, Glassillaun's Brion Quinnless made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ravan Savic was left in no man's land by his defense there! Harkin Rutherford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmiro Millapan having to interfere. Cáirbre Doherty hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Glassillaun's Cáirbre Doherty got a free kick in the 20th minute. Cáirbre Doherty's late challenge caught a Kilbeggan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cáirbre Doherty helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st match minute, Glassillaun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cáirbre Doherty to maneuver through the defense. Ravan Savic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brion Quinnless, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Kilbeggan booed when Glassillaun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cáirbre Doherty didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute Devlin Grant shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ravan Savic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harkin Rutherford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmiro Millapan having to interfere. In the 33rd match minute, Glassillaun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bercan Delaney to maneuver through the defense. After 36 minutes of play, Glassillaun's Gearóid Willson made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ravan Savic was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Devlin Grant managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glassillaun's supporters rose to their feet, but Devlin Grant was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ravan Savic breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brion Quinnless in the 41st minute of play forced Kilbeggan's goalkeeper Ravan Savic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boru McStephen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmiro Millapan having to interfere. Kilbeggan's Ravan Savic proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Kilbeggan from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brion Quinnless to make the kick off. Bivadi McCready charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bivadi McCready the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Kilbeggan's Bivadi McCready got a free kick in the 51st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Kilbeggan's Harkin Rutherford slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Delmiro Millapan. That made the score 4-1 after 55 minutes of play. Ravan Savic came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Glassillaun's Brion Quinnless. But to his dismay, Brion Quinnless quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Ravan Savic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gearóid Willson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boru McStephen in the 71st minute of play forced Glassillaun's goalkeeper Delmiro Millapan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the game, Brion Quinnless cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Ravan Savic was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Devlin Grant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Ravan Savic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Devlin Grant hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Glassillaun's Delmiro Millapan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Glassillaun from getting a goal against them. Ravan Savic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gearóid Willson in the 92nd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Kilbeggan's goal looked a bit too open when Brion Quinnless came free, but Ravan Savic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Glassillaun fully deserved thier win.
