The crowd rose to their feet as Robustiano Tino kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edward Todd. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. Robustiano Tino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edward Todd having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Boyne Gallagher during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Boyne Gallagher hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 10 minutes into the match, Annalittin FC's Derry McWillie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Charly Meulemans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 21st minute of the match, Robustiano Tino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edward Todd saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 25th minute, Derry McWillie made a precise shot to the right of Charly Meulemans. Shamrock Rovers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Robustiano Tino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shamrock Rovers's supporters rose to their feet, but Robustiano Tino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edward Todd breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Charly Meulemans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Binean Cooney, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Edward Todd stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robustiano Tino's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. 34 minutes into the match, Shamrock Rovers's goal looked a bit too open when Binean Cooney came free, but Charly Meulemans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Annalittin FC's Jonathan Cassin got a free kick in the 35th minute. After 38 minutes, Jonathan Cassin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Annalittin FC and the Shamrock Rovers players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 39 played minutes Annalittin FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Cassin. After a rather tough play, Shamrock Rovers's Trien Doherty got a free kick in the 39th minute. Charly Meulemans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Binean Cooney in the 47th minute of play.

Kerrigan Doyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edward Todd came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Shamrock Rovers's Robustiano Tino. But to his dismay, Robustiano Tino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Edward Todd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robustiano Tino, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Robustiano Tino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shamrock Rovers's supporters rose to their feet, but Robustiano Tino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edward Todd breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee felt a red card was in order, 65 minutes into the game, when Gearoid Savic put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Shamrock Rovers:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Annalittin FC:s goal. After 81 played minutes Annalittin FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Cassin. After having played for 86 minutes, Robustiano Tino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shamrock Rovers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robustiano Tino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robustiano Tino in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edward Todd prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brefni Benson in the 91st minute of play forced Annalittin FC's goalkeeper Edward Todd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Derry McWillie could shoot a difficult shot in the 92nd minute, which Charly Meulemans however easily saved by the left post. Robustiano Tino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Edward Todd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Shamrock Rovers booed when Annalittin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beamard Sheridan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Annalittin FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Shamrock Rovers's much stronger midfield.
