In the 19th minute of the match Tevis Willson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Delmiro Millapan skillfully saved the ball. In the 20th minute, Abban Colwell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cait Dubh Athy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Abban Colwell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmiro Millapan having to interfere. Ionel Rogozea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Britain Cassin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Cait Dubh Athy getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Abban Colwell hit a great ball. Cait Dubh Athy's Ionel Rogozea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brion Quinnless in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute of the game Pierson McWill made a throw-in which Brion Quinnless played forward. Devlin Grant could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Ionel Rogozea made a huge save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abban Colwell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ionel Rogozea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Britain Cassin in the 57th minute of play. Dillon McLiam's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Delmiro Millapan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. The supporters of Glassillaun booed when Cait Dubh Athy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tevis Willson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd match minute, Cait Dubh Athy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tevis Willson to maneuver through the defense. Ionel Rogozea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brion Quinnless, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. The supporters of Cait Dubh Athy booed when Glassillaun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iker Bazkoare didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cait Dubh Athy's Tevis Willson got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Devlin Grant in the 76th minute of play forced Cait Dubh Athy's goalkeeper Ionel Rogozea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute Tevis Willson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmiro Millapan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Finn McOliver during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 80 played minutes Cait Dubh Athy got a freekick which was hit by Finn McOliver. Cait Dubh Athy's Conor McVictor was substituted for Ennis Benson. A collision led to Cait Dubh Athy getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Finn McOliver hit a great ball. Dillon McLiam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmiro Millapan having to interfere. When the final whistle went the supporters of Cait Dubh Athy were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Glassillaun side.
