Ravan Savic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Britain Cassin in the 28th minute of the match. Harkin Rutherford got his second yellow card in the match during the 29th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 30 played minutes Kilbeggan got a freekick which was hit by Harkin Rutherford. In the 36th minute, Kilbeggan's Barney McTommy seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Barney McTommy the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Kilbeggan protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Barney McTommy had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 35th minute of the game. One of Kilbeggan:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Glassillaun:s goal. Gearóid Willson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 0-3 became the score in the 42nd minute when Brion Quinnless elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 47 minutes into the game, Britain Cassin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Ravan Savic was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Kilbeggan players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Glassillaun were winning 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Ravan Savic successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Glassillaun's Devlin Grant slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ravan Savic. That made the score 0-5 after 90 minutes of play. When the final whistle sounded Glassillaun left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Kilbeggan.
