Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Braddon Rutherford took the kick off in the first half of the match. Triain Benson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon McBrand having to interfere. Braddon Rutherford hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Rowe Kirby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon McBrand having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Abbot Myler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leon McBrand was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Braddon Rutherford took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Blaire Byrne to make any attempt to save it. After 16 minutes, Gehan McFrank mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Damhliag and the Tralee players grew even worse after the yellow card. 17 minutes into the match, Damhliag's goal looked a bit too open when Abbot Myler came free, but Leon McBrand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Braddon Rutherford got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Damhliag booed when Tralee was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harkin Hutton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilian Mullan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Tralee's zone, Joseph Horgan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Blaire Byrne came out of the goal and Joseph Horgan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leon McBrand came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Tralee's Rowe Kirby. But to his dismay, Rowe Kirby quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Abbot Myler made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Denny Gillmour hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Damhliag's Leon McBrand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abbot Myler in the 57th minute of play. Baird Jameson's late challenge caught a Damhliag's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baird Jameson helped the player get up and apologised. After 62 played minutes Tralee got a freekick which was hit by Baird Jameson. 64 minutes into the match, Gilian Mullan notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Tralee's Blaire Byrne. Blaire Byrne was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Donal Mulvihill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Damhliag getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Braddon Rutherford hit a great ball. Tormaigh McCready kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Braddon Rutherford managed to get in a good position for a shot. Damhliag's supporters rose to their feet, but Braddon Rutherford was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blaire Byrne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 85th minute, Braddon Rutherford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute Braddon Rutherford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blaire Byrne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilian Mullan kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. A collision led to Tralee getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Abbot Myler hit a great ball. Despite being the better team, Damhliag failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
