Cahir McOliver scored 1-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kain Hughes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tyrone Taylor received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bercnan Robinson came out and tried to block the shot, but Tyrone Taylor slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 26th minute. In the 30th minute, Caoilte McIan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bercnan Robinson made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Austin Cassin sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Austin Cassin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shanboe's supporters rose to their feet, but Austin Cassin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bercnan Robinson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Ballyconra Utd's Barrie Morrison got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 43rd minute Tyrone Taylor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bercnan Robinson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bercnan Robinson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tyrone Taylor, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Shanboe's Dane Mullan got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 50 minutes Shanboe's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Caoilte McIan who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Ballyconra Utd's Cacey Ramsey getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Barrie Morrison to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Barrie Morrison dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kain Hughes, 2-2. Barrie Morrison kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Dane Mullan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 65th match minute, Ballyconra Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cacey Ramsey to maneuver through the defense. Ballyconra Utd's Bercnan Robinson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tyrone Taylor in the 69th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cahir McOliver in the 74th minute of play forced Shanboe's goalkeeper Kain Hughes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dane Mullan hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Cahir McOliver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kain Hughes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cahir McOliver, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Bercnan Robinson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Austin Cassin, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Brant McFrank's late challenge caught a Shanboe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. It was beautiful to see Shanboe's Rollin Matthews in action when he in the 87th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Shane McMichel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Bercnan Robinson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bercnan Robinson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shane McMichel in the 94th minute of play.
