Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andrew McBrandon ran back to his position shaking his head. Bartley Dunne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrew McBrandon in the 3rd minute of play. Earnán Savic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradagain Lavine in the 6th minute of play. After 7 minutes, Tevin McPeter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clooncoose and the Ardlona players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th minute, Tevin McPeter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Clooncoose's Earnán Savic got control of the ball when Seosamh Palmer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Donavan Harkin kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. The supporters of Ardlona booed when Clooncoose was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrew McBrandon didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Clooncoose fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Clooncoose's Andrew McBrandon looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 26 played minutes Clooncoose got a freekick which was hit by Thurl Cronin. 28 minutes into the match, Andrew McBrandon notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Ardlona's Bartley Dunne. Bartley Dunne was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 39 minutes of play, Clooncoose's Andrew McBrandon made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bartley Dunne was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dawayne McLiam during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 48 played minutes Clooncoose got a freekick which was hit by Dawayne McLiam. Garrett McJohnny recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andrew McBrandon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tevin McPeter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Binean Crowe charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Binean Crowe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Clooncoose booed when Ardlona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Binean Crowe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bartley Dunne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrew McBrandon in the 58th minute of play. A throw-in in the 65th minute of the game was made by Binean Crowe with Aban Barrett as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The shot was a little too simple and Bartley Dunne could save by the left post. Ardlona's Bartley Dunne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrew McBrandon in the 72nd minute of play. Bartley Dunne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrew McBrandon in the 74th minute of play. In the 78th minute of the game Bradagain Lavine made a throw-in which Aban Barrett played forward. Bartley Dunne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrew McBrandon, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Earnán Savic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eamonn Ryan in the 83rd minute of play. Andrew McBrandon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bartley Dunne having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrew McBrandon got free with Bartley Dunne in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Clooncoose's Carson McJohnny managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Binean Crowe in the 93 minute of the game. Andrew McBrandons short, quick shot in the 98thth minute got Bartley Dunne to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
