Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Shanboe's Tyrone Taylor started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Andrew McBrandon took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Kain Hughes to make any attempt to save it. In the 8th match minute, Clooncoose was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Breccan Savic to maneuver through the defense. Kain Hughes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrew McBrandon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kain Hughes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrew McBrandon in the 14th minute. Breccan Savic hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Clooncoose's Tevin McPeter got a free kick in the 16th minute. Tyrone Taylor hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute, Andrew McBrandon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kain Hughes was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrew McBrandon got free with Kain Hughes in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Brakawn Cassin hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Shanboe's Kain Hughes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Irwin Tracy in the 41st minute of play. Earnán Savic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tyrone Taylor, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andrew McBrandon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carson McJohnny scored 3-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kain Hughes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kain Hughes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrew McBrandon, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. A collision led to Shanboe getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Tyrone Taylor hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, Clooncoose's Andrew McBrandon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kain Hughes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kain Hughes came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Clooncoose's Andrew McBrandon. But to his dismay, Andrew McBrandon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Andrew McBrandon took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kain Hughes. Kain Hughes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tyrone Taylor in the 92nd minute of play forced Clooncoose's goalkeeper Earnán Savic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, Shanboe's Austin Cassin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Shanboe players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Clooncoose.
