Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Turlough Hutton in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 14 played minutes Geisill FC got a freekick which was hit by Breannain McPaul. 19 minutes into the match, Geisill FC's goal looked a bit too open when Caoilte McIan came free, but Aengus Willson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geisill FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballyconra Utd the free kick. After a rather tough play, Geisill FC's Turlough Hutton got a free kick in the 26th minute. Geisill FC's Aengus Willson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barrie Morrison in the 29th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Geisill FC's Bat McWilliam nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bercnan Robinson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Geisill FC's Bat McWilliam got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bercnan Robinson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bat McWilliam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the match, Ballyconra Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Turlough Hutton came free, but Bercnan Robinson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bat McWilliam succeeded in the game's 71st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. When Geisill FC's Turlough Hutton in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bat McWilliam in the 93rd minute of play forced Ballyconra Utd's goalkeeper Bercnan Robinson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the game, Ros Martyn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballyconra Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Geisill FC the free kick. After 96 played minutes Ballyconra Utd got a freekick which was hit by Ros Martyn. Ballyconra Utd's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
