Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Geisill FC's Turlough Hutton started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Andrew McBrandon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Aengus Willson made a huge save. Andrew McBrandon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Geisill FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Bearach McDonald hit a great ball. Tevin McPeter was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 8th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 12th match minute, Clooncoose was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donavan Harkin to maneuver through the defense. After 19 played minutes Clooncoose got a freekick which was hit by Breccan Savic. Earnán Savic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Turlough Hutton, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Aengus Willson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrew McBrandon in the 24th minute. After some careless play in the Geisill FC defense, Andrew McBrandon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aengus Willson. The Geisill FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aengus Willson should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Andrew McBrandon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aengus Willson. That made the score 2-0 in the 28 minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Andrew McBrandon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aengus Willson. Geisill FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andrew McBrandon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 43rd minute, Andrew McBrandon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aengus Willson was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andrew McBrandon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Breccan Savic during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrew McBrandon in the 55th minute of play forced Geisill FC's goalkeeper Aengus Willson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clooncoose's Andrew McBrandon got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Clooncoose's Tevin McPeter got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute of the match Breannain McPaul shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Earnán Savic showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Aengus Willson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrew McBrandon in the 68th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Turlough Hutton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Earnán Savic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Irwin Tracy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 79 minutes into the game, Clooncoose's Andrew McBrandon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aengus Willson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. 85 minutes into the match, Clooncoose's goalkeeper Earnán Savic had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tory Grant. Irwin Tracy charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Irwin Tracy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 86th match minute, Clooncoose was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Irwin Tracy to maneuver through the defense. Clooncoose's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
