Bodibeua McWillie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Seosamh Palmer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes into the match, Ardlona's goal looked a bit too open when Wawrzyniec Tomiczek came free, but Bartley Dunne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Ardlona's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Wawrzyniec Tomiczek fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Bodibeua McWillie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garrett McJohnny in the 21st minute of the match. Wawrzyniec Tomiczek's late challenge caught a Ardlona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wawrzyniec Tomiczek helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th match minute, Ballyguin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wawrzyniec Tomiczek to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, Ballyguin's goal looked a bit too open when Garrett McJohnny came free, but Bodibeua McWillie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the game, Arthur Robinson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballyguin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ardlona the free kick. After 32 played minutes Ballyguin got a freekick which was hit by Arthur Robinson. After a rather tough play, Ardlona's Belock Doherty got a free kick in the 36th minute. Bartley Dunne acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 37th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Barclay McStephen. In the 38th match minute, Ardlona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eamonn Ryan to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patton McWill to make the kick off. If Patton McWill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the match, Patton McWill had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bartley Dunne. Ardlona's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patton McWill was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Eamonn Ryan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bodibeua McWillie having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Eamonn Ryan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bodibeua McWillie, 1-1. Patton McWill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Bartley Dunne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ballyguin booed when Ardlona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barock Perth didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ardlona's zone, Wawrzyniec Tomiczek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bartley Dunne came out of the goal and Wawrzyniec Tomiczek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 76 minutes of play, Ballyguin's Patton McWill made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bartley Dunne was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 80th minute, Barock Perth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute Patton McWill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartley Dunne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the game, Barclay McStephen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballyguin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ardlona the free kick. After 96 played minutes Ballyguin got a freekick which was hit by Barclay McStephen. When the referee blew the final whistle, Ballyguin could leave the field as winners, despite Ardlona having more of the ball for most of the match.
