Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Caherlane's Dillon Scully started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Brendan McJon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dillon Scully went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Tinacarra Utd's Brendan McJon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breck Mulvihill in the 11th minute of play. Tinacarra Utd's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Bhrighde McLaughlin scored to the left of an out of position Brendan McJon, making the score, 2-0. With a little luck, Tinacarra Utd's Brendan McJon got control of the ball when Bhrighde McLaughlin tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Caherlane's Dillon Scully got a free kick in the 29th minute. After a rather tough play, Caherlane's Rorry Perth got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 38th minute Breck Mulvihill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brendan McJon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, Rorry Perth recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Brendan McJon. Rorry Perth showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. 44 minutes into the match, Tinacarra Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Breck Mulvihill came free, but Brendan McJon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brendan McJon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rorry Perth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Berchan Caffrey made a kick off. Breck Mulvihill struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Brendan McJon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caherlane. 54 minutes into the game, Caherlane's Rorry Perth nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Brendan McJon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Berchan Caffrey took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leonard Lester. Leonard Lester dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. In the 63rd minute Breck Mulvihill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brendan McJon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Banvan McSteve hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. When Caherlane's Rorry Perth in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tinacarra Utd's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Tinacarra Utd's Cashel Matthews got a free kick in the 83rd minute. It was beautiful to see Caherlane's Breck Mulvihill in action when he in the 85th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! 91 minutes into the match, Tinacarra Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Rorry Perth came free, but Brendan McJon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brendan McJon came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Caherlane's Bhrighde McLaughlin. But to his dismay, Bhrighde McLaughlin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-1. There was no doubt that Caherlane were the better team. Caherlane's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
