An unexpectedly hard shot by Patton McWill in the 6th minute of play forced Shanboe's goalkeeper Kain Hughes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brakawn Cassin kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, Baran Delaney was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shanboe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballyguin the free kick. After a rather tough play, Shanboe's Baran Delaney got a free kick in the 25th minute. 33 minutes into the game, Wawrzyniec Tomiczek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Kain Hughes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice moves Austin Cassin could shoot a difficult shot in the 40th minute, which Bodibeua McWillie however easily saved by the left post. Austin Cassin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Bodibeua McWillie when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Bodibeua McWillie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tyrone Taylor, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patton McWill was the one to do the kick off. Kain Hughes was a little too slow when Wawrzyniec Tomiczek got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The score was now 0-2. Rollin Ferguson kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Shanboe's Baran Delaney got his second yellow card of the match in the 56th minute. The referee ordered Baran Delaney off the ground. In the 60th minute, Ballyguin's Patton McWill ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kain Hughes. Kain Hughes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Tyrone Taylor charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tyrone Taylor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Shanboe getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Tyrone Taylor hit a great ball. Austin Cassin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 66 played minutes Shanboe got a freekick which was hit by Brendann Dillon. Wawrzyniec Tomiczek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Kain Hughes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Patton McWill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 76th match minute, Ballyguin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Desmond Caffrey to maneuver through the defense. Austin Cassin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 91 played minutes Ballyguin got a freekick which was hit by Wawrzyniec Tomiczek. After 92 played minutes Shanboe got a freekick which was hit by Austin Cassin. Shanboe's Brakawn Cassin got his second yellow card of the match in the 95th minute. The referee ordered Brakawn Cassin off the ground. After a rather tough play, Shanboe's Brakawn Cassin got a free kick in the 96th minute. The Ballyguin supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ballyguin would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
