Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Terence Coyle started the match with the kick off. Clarina AFC's Bairee Dalton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eamonn Ryan in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th match minute, Ardlona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garrett McJohnny to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the game, Kerrigan Frankson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Bartley Dunne was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Suibhne McWilliam hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After 16 played minutes Ardlona got a freekick which was hit by Bradagain Lavine. Bartley Dunne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Terence Coyle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 22 minutes of play, Clarina AFC's Britain Morrison made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bartley Dunne was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 28 minutes, Lee Ramsey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clarina AFC and the Ardlona players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eamonn Ryan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Bairee Dalton made a huge save. Bairee Dalton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eamonn Ryan in the 34th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Ardlona's Eamonn Ryan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bairee Dalton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Clarina AFC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Kerrigan Frankson hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute of the match, Eamonn Ryan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bairee Dalton saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The long shot by Garrett McJohnny in the 44th minute really tested Bairee Dalton's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Suibhne McWilliam kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Bairee Dalton was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Seosamh Palmer showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 48 minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Bairee Dalton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Seosamh Palmer in the 56th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Clarina AFC's Lee Ramsey seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lee Ramsey the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Clarina AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lee Ramsey had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 58th minute of the game. One of Clarina AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ardlona:s goal. Clarina AFC:s Bairee Dalton showed great skill when he stopped Garrett McJohnny:s penalty. Ardlona were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after Clarina AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Garrett McJohnny took the corner. In the 63rd minute Ardlona were awarded a corner. Garrett McJohnny went to the cornerflag to take it. Bairee Dalton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eamonn Ryan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute, Bean Deery hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 75 played minutes Ardlona got a freekick which was hit by Binean Crowe. Kerrigan Frankson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Bartley Dunne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kerrigan Frankson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Although Ardlona had been in control for most of the match, Clarina AFC still came away with the win.
