The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Brendan McJon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Desmond Caffrey in the 3rd minute of the match. Wawrzyniec Tomiczek received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Brendan McJon came out and tried to block the shot, but Wawrzyniec Tomiczek slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 15th minute. Desmond Caffrey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Brendan McJon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brendan McJon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Desmond Caffrey in the 21st minute. Coran McDecland kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After 24 played minutes, Tinacarra Utd's Kaine Doyle shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bodibeua McWillie came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tinacarra Utd reached it. Desmond Caffreys short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Brendan McJon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 27th minute, Breccan MaCollin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute of the match Berchan Caffrey sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bodibeua McWillie skillfully saved the ball. Wawrzyniec Tomiczek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brendan McJon having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Tinacarra Utd's Brecc Jameson got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Tinacarra Utd's goalkeeper Brendan McJon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Desmond Caffrey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Brendan McJon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Desmond Caffrey in the 54th minute of play forced Tinacarra Utd's goalkeeper Brendan McJon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Desmond Caffrey in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brendan McJon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tinacarra Utd's Brendan McJon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Desmond Caffrey in the 57th minute of play. When Desmond Caffrey came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Ballyguin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Desmond Caffrey couldn't finish the play. Brendan McJon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Desmond Caffrey's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. In the 74th minute, Wawrzyniec Tomiczek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 75th minute, Desmond Caffrey made a precise shot to the right of Brendan McJon. Tinacarra Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After some careless play in the Tinacarra Utd defense, Wawrzyniec Tomiczek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brendan McJon. The Tinacarra Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brendan McJon should have stopped the shot. Wawrzyniec Tomiczek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brendan McJon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wawrzyniec Tomiczek in the 97th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Ballyguin were the better team. Ballyguin's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
