Doonsheane AFC's Rowe Doyle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rowe Kirby in the 4th minute of play. Abbot Myler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brenden McIan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blaire Byrne having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryleigh McFrank in the 11th minute of play forced Tralee's goalkeeper Blaire Byrne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Tralee's Harkin Hutton got a free kick in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rowe Kirby in the 27th minute of play forced Doonsheane AFC's goalkeeper Rowe Doyle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the game, Beglan McJohnny cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Blaire Byrne was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Blaire Byrne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brenden McIan in the 37th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brenden McIan in the 39th minute of play forced Tralee's goalkeeper Blaire Byrne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48th minute Brogan Savic shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blaire Byrne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Doonsheane AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 51st match minute, Tralee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caimin McBrand to maneuver through the defense. After 54 played minutes Doonsheane AFC got a freekick which was hit by Beglan McJohnny. 56 minutes into the match, Doonsheane AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Abbot Myler came free, but Rowe Doyle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Abbot Myler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rowe Doyle was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. In the 63rd minute, Ryleigh McFrank hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rowe Doyle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rowe Kirby in the 70th minute of play. In the 74th minute, Ryleigh McFrank got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Doonsheane AFC booed when Tralee was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artt Colwell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bram Morrison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Beglan McJohnny's late challenge caught a Tralee's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beglan McJohnny helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th minute, Beglan McJohnny hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bourns McJohnny tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Rowe Doyle. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-2 in the 81st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Beglan McJohnny managed to get in a good position for a shot. Doonsheane AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Beglan McJohnny was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blaire Byrne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Beglan McJohnny kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rowe Kirby in the 96th minute of play forced Doonsheane AFC's goalkeeper Rowe Doyle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Doonsheane AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
