Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Berchan Caffrey started the match with the kick off. Kaine Doyle hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. 11 minutes into the game, Cahir McOliver cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Brendan McJon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dennis McTommy took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Brendan McJon. Brendan McJon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 27 minutes Tinacarra Utd's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Caoilte McIan who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Ballyconra Utd's Cahir McOliver getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 29 played minutes Tinacarra Utd got a freekick which was hit by Brenden Kirby. Brendan McJon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caoilte McIan, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Damian Costello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bercnan Robinson having to interfere. With a little luck, Ballyconra Utd's Bercnan Robinson got control of the ball when Berchan Caffrey tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Dennis McTommy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tinacarra Utd's Brendan McJon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis McTommy in the 41st minute of play.

The wind increased when Barrie Morrison made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berchan Caffrey in the 53rd minute of play forced Ballyconra Utd's goalkeeper Bercnan Robinson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Tinacarra Utd getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Kaine Doyle hit a great ball. After 66 played minutes Tinacarra Utd got a freekick which was hit by Brenden Kirby. Ballyconra Utd's Barrie Morrison got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 70 played minutes Tinacarra Utd got a freekick which was hit by Brenden Kirby. Tinacarra Utd's Brendan McJon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barrie Morrison in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Barrie Morrison notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Tinacarra Utd's Brendan McJon. Brendan McJon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Barrie Morrison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Brendan McJon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barrie Morrison blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brendan McJon having to make a save. Dennis McTommy might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brendan McJon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dennis McTommy ran back to his position shaking his head.
