Dillon Scully received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Rowe Doyle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rorry Perth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rorry Perth in the 20th minute of play forced Doonsheane AFC's goalkeeper Rowe Doyle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Breck Mulvihill shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 25 minutes into the match, Breck Mulvihill notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Doonsheane AFC's Rowe Doyle. Rowe Doyle was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 30 minutes into the game, Brenden McIan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Doonsheane AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caherlane the free kick. The supporters of Caherlane booed when Doonsheane AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brenden McIan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 31 played minutes Caherlane got a freekick which was hit by Donavon Frankson. In the 39th minute, Bhrighde McLaughlin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rowe Doyle was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The supporters of Doonsheane AFC booed when Caherlane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Breasal Beckett didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute Dillon Scully shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rowe Doyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Caherlane were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dillon Scully stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rowe Doyle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dillon Scully, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Doonsheane AFC's Rowe Doyle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Doonsheane AFC from getting a goal against them. Brosnan Hamilton charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brosnan Hamilton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Doonsheane AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 58th minute. Penalty! Breck Mulvihill shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 63rd minute, Caherlane's Rorry Perth dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Caherlane's Leonard Lester played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryleigh McFrank in the 68th minute of play. Rowe Doyle made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Dillon Scully sent off a good shot on target. A hard shot 74 in the game by Breck Mulvihill from a close distance when the talented Rowe Doyle managed to make a qualified save. Doonsheane AFC's players were relieved. Rowe Doyle made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Bhrighde McLaughlin sent off a good shot on target. Ryleigh McFrank received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Leonard Lester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryleigh McFrank in the 91st minute of play. A collision led to Doonsheane AFC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Ryleigh McFrank hit a great ball. In the 94th match minute, Doonsheane AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brenden McIan to maneuver through the defense. Leonard Lester came out of the goal in the 98th minute to try and stop a shot by Doonsheane AFC's Brogan Savic. But to his dismay, Brogan Savic quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. When the match was over Caherlane could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Doonsheane AFC throughout the match.
