The supporters of Geisill FC booed when Ardlona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seosamh Palmer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barde Lester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Bartley Dunne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Turlough Hutton couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Turlough Hutton in the 68th minute of play forced Ardlona's goalkeeper Bartley Dunne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the game, Seosamh Palmer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3.
