Andrew McBrandon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Blaire Byrne when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 16 minutes into the match, Andrew McBrandon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Blaire Byrne. Tralee's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andrew McBrandon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Tralee's Blaire Byrne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrew McBrandon in the 22nd minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Blayne Robinson in the 25th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Clooncoose's Benjamin Holt. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrew McBrandon in the 26th minute of play forced Tralee's goalkeeper Blaire Byrne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Result 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andrew McBrandon to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Clooncoose's Benjamin Holt got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 57th minute Andrew McBrandon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blaire Byrne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andrew McBrandon in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Blaire Byrne saved Tralee from getting behind. In the 57thth minute of the game Andrew McBrandon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tralee's Blaire Byrne was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Clooncoose's Carson McJohnny got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Blaire Byrne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carson McJohnny in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrew McBrandon in the 75th minute of play forced Tralee's goalkeeper Blaire Byrne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrew McBrandon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Blaire Byrne read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. In the 88th minute Andrew McBrandon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blaire Byrne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caimin McBrand hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After having played for 90 minutes, Andrew McBrandon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clooncoose's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrew McBrandon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute Andrew McBrandon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blaire Byrne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tralee's Blaire Byrne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrew McBrandon in the 95th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Clooncoose fully deserved thier win.
