Bodenstown FC's Dónal Bayes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Bodenstown FC from getting a goal against them. 12 minutes into the game, Donal Jameson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bodenstown FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Drumreilly the free kick. In the 12th minute, Donal Jameson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Breanainn Crowe came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Drumreilly fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Breanainn Crowe couldn't finish the play. 15 minutes into the game, Declan Murphy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ferdia Dempsey was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Drumreilly's Ferdia Dempsey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Binnech Taylor in the 20th minute of play. Dónal Bayes didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 30th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Dónal Bayes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Glenn Palmer, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Bodenstown FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Declan Murphy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ferdia Dempsey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Binnech Taylor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Bodenstown FC booed when Drumreilly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bannon Todd didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute Breanainn Crowe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dónal Bayes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 60 played minutes Binnech Taylor rounded Drumreilly's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. Ferdia Dempsey didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Bodenstown FC's Binnech Taylor shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Declan Murphys short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Ferdia Dempsey to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ferdia Dempsey was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Binnech Taylor capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Binnech Taylor really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. Bodenstown FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
