Rowan Doyle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donell Prunty went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Ballygawley FC's Rowan Doyle got control of the ball when Donell Prunty tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rowan Doyle made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Peadar McAlphie sent off a good shot on target. Donell Prunty could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Rowan Doyle made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bevin Morrison to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gil Caffey in the 54th minute of play forced Ballygawley FC's goalkeeper Rowan Doyle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rowan Doyle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peadar McAlphie, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After 58 played minutes Ballygawley FC got a freekick which was hit by Brak Ghee. The audience was convinced that Shey McPhilip's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rowan Doyle was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. In the 81st minute, Donell Prunty got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 85th minute, Biddy McTommy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dane Savic hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Ballytrasna walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
