Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ballygar Town's Piers Sheridan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bebhinn McTommy made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Shey McPhilip sent off a good shot on target. Breslin Callaghan scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brenna Sheridan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bebhinn McTommy made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Donell Prunty sent off a good shot on target. 12 minutes into the game, Darick McFrancise cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Brenna Sheridan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Ballygar Town's Terry Martyn got a free kick in the 16th minute. Shey McPhilip who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Bebhinn McTommy when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 27 minutes into the game, Ultan Cooney was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballytrasna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballygar Town the free kick. After 27 played minutes Ballytrasna got a freekick which was hit by Ultan Cooney. Shamus McGlynn's late challenge caught a Ballytrasna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Shamus McGlynn helped the player get up and apologised. Shamus McGlynn hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breslin Callaghan in the 34th minute of play forced Ballytrasna's goalkeeper Brenna Sheridan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Piers Sheridan in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brenna Sheridan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Peadar McAlphie charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Peadar McAlphie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 39th match minute, Ballytrasna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peadar McAlphie to maneuver through the defense. Brenna Sheridan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breslin Callaghan in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th minute Darick McFrancise shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brenna Sheridan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 48 minutes into the game, Ballygar Town's Darick McFrancise nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Brenna Sheridan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The Ballytrasna players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ballygar Town were winning 0-3.

A hard shot 62 in the game by Piers Sheridan from a close distance when the talented Brenna Sheridan managed to make a qualified save. Ballytrasna's players were relieved. Brenna Sheridan made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Darick McFrancise sent off a good shot on target. When Piers Sheridan came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Ballygar Town fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Piers Sheridan couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Darick McFrancise got free with Brenna Sheridan in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Brenna Sheridan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Triain Ramsey, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. With a little luck, Ballytrasna's Brenna Sheridan got control of the ball when Darick McFrancise tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Shamus McGlynn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Breslin Callaghan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Brenna Sheridan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bebhinn McTommy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donell Prunty in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Shey McPhilip had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bebhinn McTommy. Ballygar Town's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Shey McPhilip was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Bebhinn McTommy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shey McPhilip in the 93rd minute of the match.
