Clúb Futbol Campilé's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Gil Caffey scored to the left of an out of position Bracken John, making the score, 1-0. A collision led to Ballytrasna getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Donell Prunty hit a great ball. Braon Caffey might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brenna Sheridan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Braon Caffey ran back to his position shaking his head. Clúb Futbol Campilé's Bracken John played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lee Quinnless in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Peadar McAlphie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brenna Sheridan came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Clúb Futbol Campilé's Barnaby McAaron. But to his dismay, Barnaby McAaron quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 34 minutes into the game, Ballytrasna's Donell Prunty nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bracken John made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 39 minutes into the match, Lee Quinnless had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bracken John. Clúb Futbol Campilé's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lee Quinnless was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Clúb Futbol Campilé's Bracken John proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Clúb Futbol Campilé from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Barnaby McAaron stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bracken John showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peadar McAlphie in the 53rd minute of the match.
