Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bevin Morrison got the match started through his kick off. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hayes McGlynn in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rowan Doyle saved Ballygawley FC from getting behind. In the 12th minute Isaac McWill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rowan Doyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ballygawley FC's attentive Biddy McTommy managed to snatch the ball when Bevan Byrne made a throw-in in the 22nd minute of the game. Hayes McGlynn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Rowan Doyle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 43 minutes, Danann McMichel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kilgowan FC and the Ballygawley FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Danann McMichel kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hayes McGlynn to make the kick off. Leonard McWill made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bevin Morrison in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bevin Morrison in the 55th minute of play forced Kilgowan FC's goalkeeper Leonard McWill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hayes McGlynn struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Rowan Doyle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kilgowan FC. Ballygawley FC's Biddy McTommy quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Bevan Byrne, made in the 58th minute of the game. Rowan Doyle made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Hayes McGlynn sent off a good shot on target.
