Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ballytrasna's Donell Prunty started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gil Caffey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quirk Martyn made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Donell Prunty sent off a good shot on target. Brenna Sheridan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tormaigh Martyn, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Gil Caffey struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Quirk Martyn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballytrasna. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fergus McSteven during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fergus McSteven hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute, Ballytrasna's Gil Caffey dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. If Gil Caffey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Donell Prunty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ballytrasna's Shey McPhilip in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The wind increased when Roordan McWill made the kick off in the second half. When Shey McPhilip came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Ballytrasna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shey McPhilip couldn't finish the play. 57 minutes into the game, Ballytrasna's Gil Caffey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Quirk Martyn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Donell Prunty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quirk Martyn having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ballytrasna's zone, Tormaigh Martyn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brenna Sheridan came out of the goal and Tormaigh Martyn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tormaigh Martyns short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Brenna Sheridan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 68th minute, Roordan McWill reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Brenna Sheridan. The goal made the score 3-1. The audience was convinced that Shey McPhilip's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Quirk Martyn was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Quirk Martyn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shey McPhilip in the 74th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Donell Prunty got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Ballytrasna's Gil Caffey sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Quirk Martyn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Donell Prunty made a precise shot to the right of Quirk Martyn. Aghaterry Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Donell Prunty put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Quirk Martyn. Aghaterry Utd's Quirk Martyn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shey McPhilip in the 93rd minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ballytrasna fully deserved thier win.
